Standard glass

With Standard glass being 4mm thick, it allows heat, cold, light and noise in and out of your house.  This movement results in higher energy consumption and compromised comfort.  An example if it is very cold outside, and warm inside, the heat escapes to outside, and the cold trickles indoors through the glass, leaving you adding more wood to the fire, turning on the heater, and bringing out another blanket.

Low E- glass

Two types are available, X1 Low-E laminated glass and X2 Ultra Low-E double glazed glass.

  • X1 is an all season Low-E glass that provides both comfort and energy efficiency.  It does this by providing thermal and acoustic insulation as well as added benefits such as safety and light control.
  • X2 is double-glaze glass designed to manage extreme conditions.  This is perfect for the home-owner who wants the highest level of comfort, whilst maximizing the use of glass in his house.

 Why choose Low E-glass?

  • Cooler in summer
  • Warmer in winter
  • Noise control
  • Safer option as lamination prevents injury
